Peter is a music lawyer and senior lecturer at London Metropolitan University, where he has been carrying out research into how hotels use music to enhance both branding and the guest experience. He has been supplying legal advice to a diverse range of music industry clients since the late 1990s, and in particular record companies, managers, artists, producers and promoters.
Barrie is the Head of Postgraduate and Professional Courses at London Metropolitan University. He has over 25 years experience in teaching commercial law at graduate and postgraduate level, as well as training students in advocacy for national competitions. His doctoral research relates to working class constructs of legal education.
William is a senior lecturer and solicitor with a particular interest in Intellectual Property Law. He is also a mediation specialist, and coached the London Metropolitan University team which won the Worshipful Company of Arbitrators mediation skills competition in London in January 2012.
Richard has taught at London Metropolitan University since 2005. Before joining he worked as a barrister specialising in all aspects of music and entertainment law. He has represented and worked for a range of clients including; major and independent record companies, music publishers, managers, artists, songwriters and producers, advising on contract, copyright, and digital matters.
Anita is a specialist in business law and sports management in the Faculty of Business and Law at London Metropolitan University, with a Master’s degree in international commercial conflict resolution. Her expertise lies within the law relating to the creative and entertainment industries, such as sports law, intellectual property and media law. Anita is currently completing a Postgraduate Diploma specialising in online learning.
